ELARD partly chaired the meeting where we planned the upcoming med-term event in the end of January and the 5th gathering in Poland and virtually in September 2021. Many countries are postponing their rural parliaments, possibly giving a vacuum where there should be new positions of rural citizens feeding in to the politcs. But also other gatherings, such as LEADER-gatherings can be used, and are already, to catch how rural Europe is proceeding during Covid-19. There was also discussion on input to the ongoing consultation on Long Term Vision of Rural areas and how partners can become active. The Mid-term event will be organised together with EESC and focus also on how we all can contribute to the Long Term Vision. As in most meetings, people were coming and going and in the end we had 26 participants from all over Europe, with report from Slovakia and Kosovo that have just recently held their rural parliaments.
