MEPs PLEDGE TO SUPPORT RURAL CITIZENS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
In the run up to European elections, we’ve asked candidate MEPs to commit for rural areas and rural citizens. Find below those who signed who won a seat in the European Parliament.
THE PLEDGE
I, as a candidate for the European Parliament, pledge to support rural citizens and development of rural areas in the next mandate. I commit to implement actions towards the objectives of the Rural Pact:
1. Amplifying rural voices and bringing them higher on the political agenda;
2. Structuring and enabling networking, collaboration and mutual learning;
3. Encouraging and monitoring voluntary commitments to act for the vision
that was announced by Commission to encourage cooperation for reaching the goals of Communication entitled “A Long-term Vision for the EU’s Rural Areas“
