RENOVERTY – addressing building related interventions for vulnerable districts

29th and 30th of November, ELARD team together with consortium partners (IEECP, UPRC, Climate Alliance, AISFOR, REGEA, ECORERVEIS, TREA, FOCUS, ISR and REFLEX) met in Brussels at kick of meeting for RENOVERTY project.

RENOVERTY will foster energy efficiency building upgrades in energy poor households of Central and Eastern, Southeastern, and Southern European countries by setting the methodological and practical framework to build renovation roadmaps of vulnerable rural districts in a financially viable and socially just manner.

Project Objective:
Designing a scalable series of renovation roadmaps with operating models for rural areas across Europe, while ensuring the replicability of the model in CEE, SEE and SE regions and the EU

Specific Objective 1:
Promote the renovation of rural vulnerable districts to increase the energy efficiency of 17 vulnerable rural areas across Europe (REERs made in collaboration with LAGs)

Specific Objective 2:
Empower all public (and non) actors in rural areas becoming involved in the process of renovating vulnerable districts/buildings (overcoming collaboration barriers in value chain)

The outcomes of the projects are expected to feed into policy work on energy poverty, which is one of DG ENER focus areas. More about the EC initiative: Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH).
