The Committee of the Regions, on its 154th plenary session on 15th of March 2023, approved the opinion “Targets and tools for a smart rural Europe” by NAT Rapporteur Radim Sršeň.
The document recognises rural areas as crucial in achieving long-term sustainable development of the EU and presents a set of policy recommendations to utilise the potential and strengthen the development of the rural regions.
