Swedish Rural Parliament

The 2024 edition of the biennial Swedish Rural Parliament is organised under the headline ‘Towards a Balanced Country – in a New Era’. It will bring together policymakers, practitioners, representatives from rural movements in other countries, entrepreneurs and scientists.

The first day of the Rural Parliament will feature field trips showcasing the best examples of local development in Sörmland across ten themes: sustainable local development, food production, collaborative and social building and living, sustainable entrepreneurship, fibre network extension, tourism, energy, youth inclusion. The second and third days will include plenary sessions, exhibition, and seminars.
