We want to discuss with you:

  • How do we get from words to climate action?
  • How can we localise – and improve! – the European Green Deal?
  • What role can citizens and communities play so that we all can live a good life within planetary boundaries?

We think that existing community-led initiatives can inspire this needed transformative change – permaculture, ecovillages, local action groups, transition networks, etc. can all be living labs of radical social innovation. And we think what they need to thrive are transformative local development policies in line with (a better!) European Green Deal – which is why we have spent the past six months working together with partners and members on 10 theses towards transformative, community-led local development.

Now is the time to present and discuss these 10 theses with you, with a wider network, and with policy stakeholders on EU and local levels. We want to build a coalition of change-makers and we’re looking for your support!

You can expect a lively event with good practice examples from practitioners, networking and discussion with policy stakeholders (European Commission, European Parliament, local levels) and the potential to bring in your contribution on what transformative community-led local development policies could look like.

We hope to have piqued your interest, please register here for the event!

Best wishes,
