ELARD participated at “Smart Villages for a Green, Digital and Resilient Europe” International Conference

The event was held in Castle Rahjenburg, in Brestanica, Slovenia on the 1st of October and ELARDs president Marion Eckardt attended together with Goran Soster from the Slovenian Rural Network.

The main purpose of the international conference  was to present achievements, initiatives, policy solutions and examples of best practice from Slovenia and the EU in the field of smart villages, especially in the context of the discussions on the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas.

The main organiser of the conference was the office of Franc Bogovič MEP, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of the Republic of Slovenia, the Municipality of Krško and the Office of the European Parliament in Slovenia. Ms Dubravka Suica visited the conference live and at the end of the day, Mr Bogovic together with partners founded the Smart Village Forum.
