On Stage at the European Congress for Rural Renewal and Development

On 9 May, Europe Day, our LEADER Youth Network took part in the European Congress for Rural Renewal and Development in Poland — a gathering dedicated to building a stronger, more inclusive future for rural areas across the EU.

Representing our network on site, Annie delivered a speech highlighting our shared vision: a Europe where young people are seen as active change-makers in rural development. Through inspiring examples from across our network, she showcased how youth in LEADER are not only involved — they are leading real change in their communities.

By lifting stories of young people’s engagement, achievements, and ideas, we underlined the importance of supporting the next generation of rural leaders — and the power of the LEADER method in making that happen.

This Europe Day reminded us that rural areas are more than landscapes — they are places to live, to grow, and to lead. And young people are essential to that journey.
