Meet the FLIARA Ambassadors: Women Leading Innovation in Rural Europe
The FLIARA project, proudly supported by #ELARDKnowledgeHub, highlights women who are driving change in agriculture and rural areas.
Our 20 FLIARA Ambassadors come from ten different countries: Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Spain, and Finland. They are farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and community leaders with one thing in common: a passion for building sustainable and inclusive rural futures.
The FLIARA Ambassadors are part of the FLIARA Community of Practice Network and the Campaign of Visibility. They share their experiences, exchange knowledge, and inspire others across Europe.
Through interviews, we get to know their journeys. Each story reveals challenges they have faced and the creative solutions they developed. Together, they show how women’s leadership can transform agriculture, support local communities, and strengthen sustainability.
These interviews are not only personal stories. They are also examples of how innovation, collaboration, and determination can make a difference far beyond one single farm or project.
By reading their voices, you will discover how women are shaping rural Europe, from environmental stewardship to new business models and community initiatives.
