Workshop on line, 12/10/22 from 16:30 to 18:00.

Project Code: 12WS22185

The Joint Secretariat of the Italy-Austria Interreg programme organises a workshop to present the successful application of Community-Led Local Development in the cross-border area covered by the programme. Partners include the European Commission (DG REGIO) and the Dolomiti Live cross-border Local Action Group.

Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) has demonstrated its added-value for the sustainable development of rural, urban and coastal communities. Interreg offers a great opportunity to bring the full added-value of CLLD to cross-border communities. This workshop proposes to look at the Italy-Austria Interreg programme where four cross-border Local Action Groups have been in activity during the 2014-2020 programming period. These were very successful and the new programme for the 2021-2027 foresees the continuation of this approach with a larger budget for Community-Led Local Development. The programme has been approved in June 2022.

The aim of the workshop is to promote the use of CLLD in Interreg by discussing the added-value of the CLLD approach in a cross-border area as highlighted by a case-study undertaken on the ground in the summer 2022. Panellists will include representatives of one of the Local Action Groups, regional authorities on both sides of the border and the European Commission.
